Is holography wrong? Is ER-EPR wrong?

No, they are just trivial on one side and incomplete descriptions on the other side. Why are they trivial? They are trivial because they present nothing new apart from what was known: topological dualities exist out there and that is mathematical fact. They bring eventually some new frameworks but these frameworks have to be constructed such that they are consistent with everything else known about nature. Why are they incomplete? Well, because there is no purely topological theory of “everything” despite the claims of “everythingness”… They are just particular cases that are completely invalidated by some rather simple examples of everyday physics, from condensed matter to black hole entanglement. The constructions are made specifically for some very particular cases and they cannot in principle (so not because practical difficulties) go beyond them…
